In Linux tunes of audio/video players available if they are not more than Windows they are not less. Back to years ago Linux suffered from shortage of good media player to support all codecs with user friendly interface. Fortunately todays in each Linux box you can find many media players which some definitely are useful.
Few days ago I was surfing on the internet and I found this article from Webupd8 website which explained about Audacious player. When I read the article which mentioned that it supports Winamp 2.X series skin I thought to give it try to install it to remind me to the time that I used Winamp in Windows and lately XMMS in Linux. The good point is that by default it has a skin which is exactly look like XMMS. Additionally, I was able to find the old skin of Winamp 2 from my old stuff in my laptop and it works perfectly as well.
The process of installation is also easy. I copied the installation part from the article which I mentioned earlier and I put here to make my post complete about this application. For installing Audacious just copy the following commands in your terminal.
$ sudo add-apt-repository ppa:webupd8team/unstable
$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install audacious
Audacious still is in beta version so it is good to try once and if you face with any problem report the bug but I do not recommend to use it as your main player until the final release.
Finally, if you did not find Winamp 2.X and Winamp 3.X skins you can download both from here.
